Expedition to the origins of the island
a mix of history and gastronomy
Fancy being an explorer for a day? What about enjoying a gourmet feast afterwards paired with wine from Tenerife?
Join an expert speleologist on a private visit to the Cueva del Viento, the 15th biggest lava tube in the world only behind the ones found in Hawaii.
The volcanic soil and great varieties of grapes are responsible for the uniqueness of our wine. Come and taste it after your cave experience together with a typical menu from our island.
We recommend departing the hotel at around 9.30AM to make the most of the day.
Your private speleologist will guide you through this cave, which is unique in the world as it has three overlapping levels. Moreover, it has a wide variety of primary structures made of lava such as stalactites, lava waterfalls, lagoons and waterfall terraces. It feels like being in an underworld, a passage used by lava to make its way out, filled with fossils of ancient vertebrate animals and species that no longer exist in the Island.
Adventure makes you feel hungry… This is why the expedition ends in a nearby vineyard. We have prepared a full Canary Islands menu with iconic dishes: almogrote, “chorizo palmero”, “papas arrugadas”... Our unique volcanic wine is obviously also on the list as well as other drinks to cater for all tastes.
For any further details about this unique experience, please ask for prices and availability at the reception or email.
