The province of Malaga is sun, beach, “espetos”, cradle of artists, gastronomy… But it is also mountain range, landscapes, narrow little streets that ooze history and much more. We invite you to discover the most authentic Andalusia on a trip through the heart of the white villages ending with a visit to one of the most charming wineries in Spain.

Our guide and multilingual driver will pick you up at the hotel. On your way to the white villages, you will visit towns like Casares and Gaucin (the latter is Carmen’s village, the character that inspired Bizet for its famous opera).

You enter the white villages route. There are places where you can feel what everyday life was like in Al-Andalus; their urban planning, the olive oil economy and the artisan manufacturing of leather goods are all part of the legacy that stil prevails today. You continue towards Ronda where you will visit its monumental bullring and impressive cliff.

Your next stop is the “Descalzos Viejos” villa, a winery by the foot of the cliff and with spectacular views of the village, undoubtedly one of the most charming wineries in Spain. The owner will welcome you upon arrival to show you the villa, the land and the inside of the cellar which includes a Trinitarian convent from 1505. This is a special place, since it contains the barrels of wine produced here.

One thing leads to another and you continue with a tasting of local dishes paired with home-made wines.

The day ends returning to Marbella through the landscaped road from Ronda to San Pedro de Alcantara, where on clear days there are impressive views of the Straight of Gibraltar and Morocco.
